Through the practice of deep listening, reflection, reckoning and reimaging we begin to understand and experience the possibilities that Digital Storytelling can have on the ripple effect from individual healing to collective transformation.

At the center of this practice is the importance of representation to elevate authentic narratives and community based knowledge. How we then validate each other’s experiences, learn from them and carry this knowledge forward with awareness and care is radical.

Arts and Humanities-Creative Expression

In the process of creating a Digital Story, students will exchange constructive feedback on the story's layers, layout and clarity and reflect upon the creative process and its social impact.

Civics-Global Citizenship

Students practice the art of deep listening both within their own process of creating and telling their stories as well as in response to the stories that they hear from classmates. This exchange offers an opportunity for deeper cultural awareness and sensitivity.

 Leadership and Change-Change Students

Students will work towards leadership and change studies through the practice of deep listening and storytelling and further developing skills with digital tools to incorporate meaning through experience and act in the world.
